Team India skipper, Virat Kohli recently reiterated mentoring youngster was an integral part of his job as a leader. Moreover, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had promised to be Kohli’s unofficial deputy. However, regular skipper Kohli has been given rest by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the ongoing Asia Cup 2018.

The batting mainstay Kohli is playing a continuous cricket and keeping his workload in mind. Moreover, the youngsters who will play the Asia Cup might reach up to MS Dhoni for any sort of problem.

Meanwhile, Ambati Rayudu said that Dhoni’s presence will be a big boost for the Indian team in Kohli’s absence.

Moreover, Rayudu was not the only one who feels that Dhoni will play a perfect second option after skipper Kohli in the limited-overs cricket.

Furthermore, a member of the current set-up said that Dhoni is very supportive. He also added that the players will not feel that they are entering into a team full of champions.

MS Dhoni guides the young players how to prepare everything from his own experience. He also helped the bowlers by saying where to bowl, how to bowl and about the line and lengths.

Similarly, Kohli also gives the opportunity to express a player, and don’t want to pressurise on each and everything.

“Mahi bhai is very supportive of the young players coming into the team. Not even for a moment do you feel that you are entering into a team of champions. Even at the nets, you will see him always helping the bowlers. He guides them on how to prepare for a game from his own experience. And what he has seen on the wicket,” Rayudu maintained.

“The best part is that when we walk out to the field, after a couple of overs, he will tell the bowlers exactly which are the areas to bowl on. And how the bowler needs to work on his speed and variations. Similarly, Virat bhai likes to give the players freedom to express himself and not get bogged down by the pressure of representing the country,” he said.
