India skipper Virat Kohli has cleared the Yo-Yo test at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.

Kohli had suffered a neck injury during the Indian Premier League against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Therefore, Kohli had to miss out on his County stint with Surrey.

In fact, Mahendra Singh Dhoni also joined the training regime of the Indian team in Bengaluru. Furthermore, Bhuvneshwar Kumar who was rested from the ongoing Test match against Afghanistan joined his teammates.

The Indian team will jet off on June 21.

Meanwhile, Kedar Jadhav who suffered a hamstring injury in the first match of the Indian Premier League was seen in the training programme.

The Indian team is all set to jet off for their United Kingdom tour on June 21. Men in Blue will play two-match T20I series against Ireland on June 27 and June 29.

After the Ireland tour, India will play an important series against England. Virat Kohli-led team will play three T20Is, as many One-Dayers and five Test matches on the England tour.

As the upcoming 2019 World Cup is going to take place in England and Wales, this tour is of great importance for the Indian team.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is one of the fittest cricketers in the world. The Indian skipper has taken pride in his fitness to set up an example for the whole Indian team.

However, Indian team head coach, Ravi Shastri has increased the passing score of Yo-Yo test. Indian player should now achieve a score of 16.3 as compared to 16.1 to pass the Fitness Test.

Mohammad Shami and Sanju Samson got dropped from India and India A squad respectively after failing the Fitness Test.
