Not only on the field, but the skipper of the Indian National Cricket Team Virat Kohli is also breaking records off the field as well. This time, it is on his social media account Instagram, where he reached the milestone of 50 Million followers to become the first Indian celebrity to achieve the feat.
The other Indians with the most number of followers are Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, who is at second with 49.9 followers while Deepika Padukone is placed third place with 44.1 followers.
In terms of rankings, Instagram’s official account has the most number of followers (333 million) and it is followed by Portuguese star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who has 200 million followers.
Kohli has so far made 930 posts on Instagram and his social media presence continue to enthral fans worldwide. He is also active on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

According to scheduling tool Hopper HQ’s Instagram Rich List, sports stars earn the most for sponsored posts on Instagram. The Indian skipper charges INR 1,35,66,749 for a single post on the app, as per 2019 records.
Virat Kohli is in charge of the Indian team in New Zealand:
On the work front, Kohli is currently involved with the Indian National Cricket Team to play a two-match Test series against New Zealand.

Under his captaincy in the current tour of New Zealand, India won 5-match T20I series before losing all three games in ODI format.
However, India will enter Test series as the firm favourites, as they are yet to lose a single game in the ICC World Test Championship. But, unfortunately, the team is suffering from injuries to key players, which is a worrying sign ahead of the key encounter.
Virat Kohli will head into the first Test as a number one batsman in the Test rankings. With Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne following him with a Jet speed, India’s run machine would like to extend the gap with good scores in the series.
