With the game hanging in the balance, an interruption was the last thing that India wanted in the ongoing second Test against South Africa in Centurion. However, there were as many as two interruptions, and when the umpires asked the players to leave the ground for the second time, India skipper Virat Kohli could not control his anger and was seen having an animated discussion with the match referee.

After scoring 307, India had the hosts on the mat as Jasprit Bumrah dismissed their first-innings half-centurions Aiden Markram and Hashim Amla for one each to reduce them to 3 for 2. It was followed by a fifty-plus stand between AB de Villiers and Dean Elgar before rain forced the players to leave the ground for a while.

Play resumed shortly, and at a time when India were looking for a breakthrough to claw their way back into the game, their hopes were dashed after the umpires once again asked the players to leave the field due to the bad light. Kohli, however, was not impressed with the decision and was seen having a chat with the match referee, Chris Broad. It looked like a heated and animated one as head coach Ravi Shastri was seen listening to the debate silently. A furious Kohli then stormed out of the referee’s chamber before being spotted expressing his disappointment to his teammates.

Here is a clip of that incident:
