India’s premier Test batsman, Cheteshwar Pujara lauded national team skipper Virat Kohli, saying that latter is very passionate about the game and always keeps the dressing room lively.
Meanwhile, Pujara recently resumed his national duties for the One-off Test series against Afghanistan.
The Afghans will play their debut Test against India starting from June 14 at Bengaluru.
However, Pujara spent the early part of 2018 season in England playing County Cricket for renowned club Yorkshire. He also represented in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
Also, Pujara had an outstanding time in the white-ball game, scoring three fifties and a solitary century before returning to India.
Although he didn’t score too many runs in the red-ball cricket, he will look to make it big against Afghanistan.
India will heavily rely on him in the absence of regular skipper, Kohli. The Indian skipper, meanwhile, will miss the much-awaited Test due to a neck injury which he sustained during the recently-concluded Induan Premier League (IPL).

However, he will undergo a fitness test on June 15, for the upcoming tour to the United Kingdom (UK).
Kohli passionate about the game:
In a recent chat with Fox Sports, Pujara talked high of his skipper, Kohli. He said Delhi-born star is very passionate about the game and always keeps the dressing room lively.
Pujara also added that everybody enjoys each other’s company both on and off the field.
“He’s very talkative, very passionate about cricket and he keeps the atmosphere going. The Indian team’s dressing room nowadays is quite relaxed but there are also many young players who keep the atmosphere quite lively. The good thing is that all of the players enjoy each other’s company on and off the field,” Pujara said.
In conclusion, Cheteshwar Pujara admitted that so far he has enjoyed his time under Kohli.
Moreover, he also didn’t forget to mention about Mahendra Singh Dhoni, stating that he has enjoyed playing under both of them.
“So far the experience has been good. Even when MS Dhoni was leading the team, the atmosphere in the dressing room and out there in the middle was good. I’ve always enjoyed my cricket under the leadership of both Kohli and Dhoni. They are different characters, but I’ve really found it very motivating and satisfying to play under both captains,” he concluded.
