India skipper Virat Kohli and fast-bowler Jasprit Bumrah remained at the top of the ICC ODI player rankings, released on Thursday. Virat Kohli is the top-ranked batsman in ODIs followed by his teammate and deputy Rohit Sharma. The rankings were updated after the conclusion of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan pace spearhead Mohammad Amir, who grabbed four wickets in the series, grabbed a career-best seventh position after jumping six spots. The left-arm pacer picked up three wickets in the third ODI. His previous highest ranking was 10th in June this year. Amir’s teammate Usman Shinwari also made significant gain.

The left-arm pacer, who picked up a five-wicket haul in the second ODI, gained 28 slots to reach 43rd position. Shinwari finished the series with 6 wickets to his name. The bowlers’ list is led by India star Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm pacer has not played an ODI since the conclusion of the World Cup but is still ruling the roost.

In the batsmen’s rankings, Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman (up two places to 16th) and Haris Sohail (up three places to 32nd) are the others to gain. Sri Lanka’s Danushka Gunathilaka has reached a career-best 70th place after a century in the final match.
