Yuzvendra Chahal, Indian white-ball leg-spinner, announced his engagement to choreographer Dhanashree Verma via his social media posts on Saturday.

The Haryana-born leg-spinner, who has previously represented the country in Chess, took to his social media accounts where he wrote-

“We said “Yes” along with our families,” the 29-year-old wrote.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli led the wishes for his India and RCB teammate.

“Congratulations to you both God bless,” wrote Virat Kohli.

Other Indian cricketers like Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Kedar Jadhav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan Hardik Pandya also took to their social media accounts to wish the newly-engaged couple.

Chahal has thus far represented India in 52 One-day Internationals and 42 T20Is, claiming 91 and 55 wickets respectively. He has also played in 84 Indian Premier League games, in which he has taken 100 wickets at an average of 23.78.
