India fast bowler Navdeep Saini came to fore for the first time while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) under the captaincy of Virat Kohli. His disciplined performances earned him the national team ticket and though he is still not a regular, Saina has often been considered for the T20Is.

Saini knows how Kohli operates. Opening up on the same, he said that Kohli likes to listen to the bowlers before giving his opinion. He, however, said that if the plan put into the place does not works that is when Kohli comes into rescue. Under the captaincy of Kohli, RCB are still to clinch the IPL.

“Virat bhaiya hamesha sunnte hain (Virat Kohli always listens). First, he accepts the bowler to bowl according to the team plan. But if it doesn’t work, he comes to his rescue and asks for the bowler’s opinions. He always appreciates opinionated-bowlers and that is also extremely essential. It tells that he, or she, is a thinking cricketer and knows what he is doing, or wants to do next,” Navdeep Saini said in an interview to Times Now.

“So, Kohli will first hear your plan and then advise only if it needs a bit of tweaking. He will always say “aisa kar sakte hain” (you can do this) but want a good response from his bowler as well. Not just nodding to everything,” he added.

As a player, Kohli is a determined spirit who made his way to become one of the finest cricketers of all-time through sheer self belief and hard-work. He has made run-scoring look easy and has many records to be broken in line.

Kohli has often showed his love for the sport through his aggression and hardly gives an inch to his opponents on the field. But off it, Kohli is a completely different personality, he likes to spend time with his family, read books, train consistently and maintain his vegan diet, and to top it all he is not fond of fame or attention.
