Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni Are Like 'Bear', You Don't Upset Them: Dean Jones

Former Australia cricketer turned commentator Dean Jones has reacted to Michael Clarke’s claims that his national team players were sucking-up to Virat Kohli and did not sledge him during their tour Down Under to save their Indian Premier League (IPL) contracts. Dean Jones has taken an indirect jibe at Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, to dismiss the claims made by the former Australian captain.
You don’t upset Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni because this is what they like – a confrontation: Dean Jones
Dean Jones cited the example of Viv Richards and Javed Miandad and said that when they stepped on the field, we went quiet. Jones, similarly suggested that, no one should upset a ‘bear’ referring to Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni as they don’t like confrontation.
“I’ll tell you the reason why they went quiet on Virat. Because we went quiet when Viv Richards came out to bat. We went quiet on Javed Miandad, on Martin Crowe. And there is a reason behind that — You don’t upset the bear, you don’t upset Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni because this is what they like – a confrontation,” Dean Jones was quoted as saying by Sportscreen YouTube page.
“Don’t give them any oxygen. But I find this reason about not upsetting Virat because of IPL contracts a bit rubbish. Is Virat going to stop anyone from playing? That is down to the coaches and managers,” he added.
Dhoni is known to tackle every situation with a calm head. He has hardly lost his cool despite leading the national team to victories in mega ICC events. Kohli, on the other hand, has a highly competitive spirit and hardly gives an inch.
