Team India batsman Suresh Raina will return to national colours after playing his last international match against England last year. He will be back for the 3 match T20I series in South Africa and on his return, the southpaw showered praises on Team India skipper  Virat Kohli and tipped him to be the potential Man of the Tournament in the 2019 World slated to be held in England and Wales in a year’s time.

Team India is currently having a sensational time in the limited overs series against the Proteas and has already taken an unassailable 4-1 lead in the 6 match series and with the form they has been in, 5-1 seems to be the expected scoreline at the end of the series. One of the main architects of India’s brilliant performance in the ODI series has been their skipper Kohli who smashed a couple of centuries in this so far besides a wonderful century in the Test series.

Kohli is the only batsman to average over 50 in all formats of the game. His ODI records, in particular, are something extraordinary. The southpaw recalled Team India’s defeat in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy against arch-rivals Pakistan. The pain in his eyes was pretty much visible after his dismissal during that encounter which will definitely fire him more to win the 2019 World Cup.

“Virat Kohli is very hungry – hunger is there in his eyes. His fitness has been remarkable. Every time he rotates the strike – whenever he gets the loose balls, he looks to punish them. He is the best in the world, no doubt about it. He wants to win the World Cup very badly – probably in England, he will be the man of the tournament,” Raina was quoted as saying by the India Today.

When asked about his own form, Raina said that he was still not at his best but all he needs to do is spend some time in the middle and runs will automatically start flowing. “My peak is yet to come, my time will start from here on. Still timing the ball really well, have a few good bats. Need to be patient to bat at No.4,” the southpaw signed off.
