Watch: Virat Kohli Posts A Workout Video Ahead Of IPL 2020

It is a no-brainer that all eyes will be on Virat Kohli when the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) gets underway on the 19th of September in the UAE. Virat Kohli might have an excellent record as the Indian captain but not so much when it comes to leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the lucrative league. Ahead of the 2020 season, the 31-year old posted a video on Instagram of him sweating it out.

Virat Kohli took over as the captain of the franchise from Daniel Vettori in 2013. Since then, the side has reached the finals only once and mostly languished at the bottom of the table, including finishing last in 2019. While Kohli has remained amongst the runs, the team combination has especially hurt RCB. Over the years, there have been a lack of finishers as well as death bowlers for them.

One of the fittest athletes in the world, who has set the benchmark for fitness, Kohli is running on the treadmill using headphones, flaunting his chiselled chest and flat tummy. With 5412 runs in IPL history, the 31-year old is the highest run-getter but will look to lift the title finally in the upcoming season for Bangalore. The franchise has made some recruits like Aaron Finch, Isuru Udana, Chris Morris, and Kane Richardson.

However, they would be in a fix if the South African players cannot make it to the lucrative league. Players like Ab de Villiers and Chris Morris are crucial to their chances. The tournament begins on the 19th of September and ends on the 10th of November.
