It wasn’t a great Test for Virat Kohli as the batsman but he had a good game as a skipper of the team, who had perfect placements for the West Indies’ batsmen. Almost every time, Virat Kohli achieved success with his field placements during the game. Despite that, it was his reading of the book, which caught the attention of the Indian fans. The skipper read ‘”Detox Your Ego” during the progress of the game.

Virat Kohli was spotted reading a book named ‘Detox Your Ego: Seven Easy Steps to Achieving Freedom, Happiness and Success in Your Life.’ in the dressing room during the Day 2 of the first Test against West Indies in Antigua.

Virat Kohli reads Detox Your Ego:
After a forgettable outing with the bat in the first innings, Kohli for most of the part was seen warming the seats in the dressing room. While all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was leading India’s fightback with the bat in the 1st innings, the camera panned on to the Indian captain – Kohli, who was found reading the book by Steven Sylvester.
The Indian skipper could not convert his white-ball form in the first innings of the ongoing Test as he got out for a single-digit score losing his wicket trying to fend off Shannon Gabriel’s bouncer. However, it was the vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja, who stood for the team when it mattered the most.

Earlier, Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj had set social media on fire when she was spotted reading a book during the Indian team’s Women’s World Cup 2017 campaign in England. Her calm demeanour amid the on-field tension saw Twitterati come up with all sort of reactions.
Coming to the progress of the game, the brilliant knock by Ravindra Jadeja on day 2 and the five-wicket haul from Ishant Sharma helped India to sit on the driver seat in the Antigua Test.
