Virat Kohli the Richest Sports Personality in 2017 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List

Team India skipper Virat Kohli has arguably been the most sought after cricketer in the recent past and boasts of a sensational record across all 3 formats of the game. It is due to his consistency and popularity across the world that he remains at the top of the list of sports personalities in the Latest Forbes List where the highest earners are named. Kohli’s tally reads Rs 100.72 crores which put him in the 3rd position in the 100 celebrity list just behind Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Badhshah of Bollywood with estimated earnings of Rs 233 crores and Rs 170.5 crores respectively.

Sachin Tendulkar is 2nd in the list among sports personalities with earnings over Rs 82.50 crores while former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni occupies the 3rd position with Rs 63.77 crores and Ravichandran Ashwin with Rs 36.67 crores rounds of the top five cricketers in the world.Other sportspeople other than cricketers in the list are Saina Nehwal (RS 31 crores), golfer Anirban Lahiri (Rs 12.44 crores), Kidambi Srikanth (Rs 6.13 crores), Sania Mirza (Rs 2.80 crores) and Sunil Chhetri at the 100th position with earnings of Rs 2.30 crores.
