Virat Kohli's Name on Voter Slip in Gorakhpur Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections

India captain Virat Kohli is one of the biggest superstars in the country. Knowing he influences a lot of people often he stays away from the controversies.
However, this time it’s the government officials who have got the Indian batsman in the headlines.

In the latest incident, India skipper Virat Kohli’s name appeared on a voter slip in the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency.
Despite being from Delhi, Kohli’s name got registered under Sahajanwa Assembly segment.

However, a booth-level officer Sunita Chaubey spotted the mistake and informed her seniors about it.
The identity number in the voter list is RHB2231801, and the voter serial number is 822.
According to Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Pankaj Srivastava, an investigation had already been launched into the matter.

Moreover, the India skipper has been rested from the ongoing Nidahas Trophy held in Sri Lanka. India won the second T20I against Bangladesh at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Thursday.
India lost the first T20I against Sri Lanka in the opener of the tri-series and have now lost one and won one in the series.
