"Taking Advantage Of My Advice": Virender Sehwag After Delhi Capitals Open With Marcus Stoinis

Delhi Capitals revived their fortunes with Marcus Stoinis being asked to open against SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Qualifier 2. Stoinis, who has opened in BBL, began his knock on a dominating note as he fired all cylinders to give Delhi Capitals a dominating star in a crucial match.

Stoinis set the tempo for Delhi Capitals as they went on to add 189 runs on board. Former Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag had advised the side to open with the Australian all-rounder. And as they did the same he came up with a light-hearted comment.

Sehwag said that Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and quietly decided to bat and the side had a surprise in store. He added that Delhi Capitals opted to open with Matcus Stoinis and then mentioned in a light-hearted way that the side is taking advantage of his free advice.

“Shreyas Iyer won the important toss of this crucial match and quietly decided to bat. It seems the bad memories of the chase from the previous match were still fresh in their minds.”

“Delhi Capitals opted to bat but there was a surprise in store. Just as I had suggested, Marcus Stoinis opened the batting. I am telling you, they are all taking advantage of my free advice,” Sehwag said in a video shared on his Facebook page.

Delhi Capitals will take on defending champions Mumbai Indians on Tuesday.
