India spin star Yuzvendra Chahal, on Saturday, sprung quite a big surprise by announcing his engagement to Dhanashree Verma. Before announcing his engagement, the India star had never really spoken about her lover on social media as he had kept the entire matter under the wraps.

He shared an adorable picture from his Roka ceremony to announce his engagement. Chahal took to social media to post a photo of himself and Dhanashree Verma and captioned the post “We said “Yes” along with our families #rokaceremony.”

Virender Sehwag’s message:

As soon as Yuzvendra Chahal announced the news of his engagement, wishes started pouring in for him and his lady love. The cricketers as well as the fans wished the spinner for his new innings. The likes of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were among the first ones to congratulate the couple.

Former India opener Virender Sehwag was also quick to congratulate the couple and he did so in his usual hilarious fashion. The legendary batsman wished the love birds with a recent quote from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, writing:

“Waah @yuzi_chahal! Aapda ko avsar mein badal daala. Congratulations”

Meanwhile, Chahal will be seen in action again next month when he dons the Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey for IPL 2020. The leg-spinner has not played a competitive game since the tour of New Zealand earlier this year. The much-anticipated tournament will be played in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.

All the IPL teams will be living for UAE later this month. The BCCI has already told the franchises that they can’t depart for UAE before August 20.
