Perhaps, the first name that reaches in the Indian cricket fanatics brain when they heard the word ”fielding”, it would be Mohammad Kaif. The flamboyant cricketer from Uttar Pradesh ruled the cricketing world with his exceptional fielding skills. Meanwhile, he is celebrating his 38th birthday today and the wishes poured for him from Virender Sehwag.

Virender Sehwag and Mohammad Kaif always shared a nice bond between them. They played together for Team India and also worked together as Hindi commentators. Meanwhile, as ever, Sehwag came up with a hilarious wish.

The 37-year-old Kaif played 13 Tests and 125 ODIs for India. He will always be remembered for his match-winning knock of 87 at Lord’s when he led India to victory over England in the NatWest series final in 2002.

Kaif announced his retirement from all forms of competitive cricket earlier this year in July, after 16 years from famous Lord’s win. For the Indian team, he stood out as much for his acrobatic fielding and also for his finishing skills.

Currently, Mohammad Kaif is working as the commentator for the Indian matches. He was often found in the commentary box with RP Singh, Aakash Chopra and Sehwag as well. Recently, he signed a deal with Delhi Daredevils for the upcoming IPL season.
