Virender Sehwag Sends Birthday Wishes to India's Greatest Match Winner, Anil Kumble

Former India’s combative opener Virender Sehwag sent birthday wishes to India’s greatest match winners, Anil Kumble. India’s former skipper Anil Kumble is celebrating his 48th birthday today. Virender Sehwag and Anil Kumble played together for a long time and thus shared a great bonhomie with each other. Kumble is India’s most successful bowler as he had scalped 619 Test wickets in his illustrious career.
Therefore, Jumbo, as he is fondly known, is the third highest wicket-getter in the red ball version. Sehwag said Anil Kumble defined grit and courage in his career. Furthermore, Sehwag went on to add that Kumble executed the toe-crunching yorkers better than the fast bowlers.
Kumble was instrumental in India’s success.
Meanwhile, Kumble got most of his dismissals via LBW and bowled as he was accurate in his line and length. The leg-spinner hardly used to spin the ball. However, he was generally right on the money with his bowling.
On the other hand, Anil Kumble also led India with aplomb. Kumble scalped 619 wickets in his career of 132 matches. The Karnataka bowler also scalped 337 wickets in his career of 271 One Day Internationals. Kumble was a hard worker and reaped fruits for putting in the extra yards.
Meanwhile, Anil Kumble was the coach of the Indian team for one year. Consequently, he was able to produce good results for the team. Sehwag shared a photo of Kumble in which he was able to scalp the wicket of Brian Lara after a broken jaw.
Virender Sehwag took his twitter account to wish Anil Kumble on his birthday. Sehwag post read as, “Happiest birthday to one of India’s greatest ever match winners, a man who defined grit and courage.
