Zimbabwe left-arm pacer Brian Vitori’s bowling action was cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Saturday. He will resume bowling after undergoing remedial work during the 12-month suspension that was meted out to him in December 2016.

However, this is not the first time he was reported with suspected action. Vitori was first suspended from bowling in January 2016 before a reassessment saw him come back to bowling in June 2016.

He was again suspected during an ODI against Sri Lanka at Bulawayo in November later that year which ensured that he was banned for 12 months.

Vitori underwent a reassessment of his bowling action on January 8 this year at the High-Performance Centre in Pretoria, and it was concluded that his elbow extension was within the stipulated 15 degrees mark.

The 27-year old Vitori has played four Tests, 20 ODIs and 11 T20Is for Zimbabwe after making his international debut in August 2011.
