VVS Laxman Advocates KL Rahul Opening For Team India In Limited-Overs Cricket

India’s veteran batsman VVS Laxman has advocated KL Rahul to open the innings for India in limited-overs cricket in Shikhar Dhawan‘s absence. KL Rahul just seems to have the magic touch at this moment. It seems as if whatever he touches, turns to gold. Rahul is having the time of his life in international cricket and seems to have booked a permanent seat in Team India.

In the recently-concluded five-match T20I series, Rahul added another feather in the cap as he was awarded the Man of the Series. His performances with the team helped India to clinch 5-0 series victory for the first time in T20I cricket against New Zealand. He has been fantastic behind the stumps apart from his batting show.

The Karnataka-based cricketer now looks like a perfect replacement for MS Dhoni in Team India.

Rahul has earned a lot of praise from fans and experts from all across the globe. Now, a former cricketer, Laxman has stated in the Start Sports’ post-match show that Rahul deserves to open the innings for India in the limited-overs format.

Well, Dhawan has been absent from the team due to injury concerns and Rahul has replaced him to yield desired results at the top. Along with Rohit Sharma, he has stitched multiple match-winning partnerships for India, and has now become a crucial part of the squad.

Meanwhile, Team India has won another bilateral series. This time, it came against New Zealand away from home.

Rahul has bagged Man of the Series for his exceptional performance throughout the five games. He is aiming to continue his brilliant performance.

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah had received the Man of the Match award for his brilliant bowling antics in the final game of the series. He bagged three wickets after conceding just 12 in his four overs.
