That the team-management had to organize a fitness camp later this month pretty much tells the story. Pakistan???s selection panel has already announced the list of players who will attend the camp. The 23 ???probables??? will undertake the tests at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore across the 15-16 April. Pakistan will then announce the 15-man squad on April 18. Pakistan???s poor form in ODIs is also a major area of concern for the team management.

In their latest outing, they suffered a humiliating whitewash to Australia in the five-match series at UAE. In fact, Pakistan have been doing poorly in ODIs for quite some time now. In the last one year, they have lost series against South Africa and New Zealand in addition to the dismal display in the Asia Cup. Their head coach Mickey Arthur had recently raised concerns over the fitness level of the players.
???I think on this tour, our fitness standards and our fielding were not where they needed to be. That???s understandable when you see the likes of young Abid Ali, Hasnain, and guys like that hadn???t been in our setup before. Those that had been in our setup for a long period of time, who knows what the standards are, are aware we will never ever compromise on fitness,??? Arthur had told the media after the series defeat against Australia.

And now Wasim Akram has labelled some serious allegations against the team-management. The legendary pacer has lashed out at the national team management for serving biryani to the players. Pakistani journalist Sad Sajiq revealed in a tweet that Akram was not impressed with the way the players are getting ready for the World Cup.
