Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar have been amongst the two of most dedicated servants of Pakistan cricket. Having also played in the same era, the pace-bowling pair formed one of the fearsome fast-bowling attacks along with Waqar Younis. Hence, Wasim Akram recalled the time when, according to him, Pakistan wore the best ODI kit in history.
The left-arm pacer walked down the memory lane by posting a picture with Akhtar along with tagging him on Twitter that soon transformed into a witty banter.

Australia and New Zealand reintroduced the retro kit in their recent ODI series that eventually resulted in cancellation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
However, the two teams did play the first ODI on the 13th of March with the old-school jersey at the SCG that made many fans remember the ancient days.

The retired pacer’s tweet may have had his roots from over there. On posting the photo by tagging his fellow countryman, he wrote a caption as
“One of the best things about playing for Pakistan was proudly wearing my uniform, and this one had to be the best ODI kit I had ever worn. It was the perfect representation of our nations colours, language and flag and it also looked really cool,” Akram wrote.
In the picture, Akram, who supposedly was the captain back then, is seen giving some advice to his pace colleague.
The Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar was quick to respond with some light-hearted questioning of his own.
He wrote as “Looks like I was really getting told off. Tell me then, what were you saying to me?”

The banter continues between Wasim Akram and Shoaib Akhtar:

The former captain and the 53-year old kept the conversation going by remarking “I was probably saying any chance of bowling straight shabby.”
On reading the hilarious trolling with regards to his accuracy, Akhtar fired a deadly yorker by tweeting that he was the most accurate bowler he possessed under his leadership.
