Watch: Aiden Markram Pulls Off An Absolute One-Handed Screamer To Dismiss Hardik Pandya

While Aiden Markram will remember the ongoing ODI series throughout his life, his performance with the bat is perhaps not worth remembering. Playing just his second ODI series, Markram was handed the ODI captaincy in absence of injured Faf du Plessis. However, his captaincy career did not begin in  a manner he would have liked. Under his captaincy, South Africa lost both the ODIs to find themselves 3-0 down in the six-match series. He also failed to deliver with the bat, scoring 9, 8 and 32 in the first three games.

Well, Markram got something to celebrate in the ongoing fourth ODI in Johannesburg. The stand-in Proteas skipper pulled off an absolute screamer to send back Hardik Pandya. With runs not coming at a desired rate, Pandya made some room for himself and carved a Kagiso Rabada delivery towards extra cover. The ball was looking primed to evade the fielder and reach the boundary. However, Markram had other plans. The 23-year old timed his jump to perfection and plucked it with his right hand while being fully stretched to complete an unbelievable catch.

Here is a clip of that stunner:
