Have you ever seen a bowler who can bowl with both his hands? Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis has a special skill of bowling with both of his hands. Mendis can bowl off-spin with his left hand as well as he can bowl off-spin with his right hand. In fact, the prodigy spinner has an identical action for both the hands. Thus, Kamindu Mendis is one of the rare talents in the cricket world.
In fact, we had first witnessed this unique skill of Kamindu Mendis back in the Under-19 World Cup of 2016. Furthermore, Mendis is a handy batsman. He also scored a fine 61 off just 72 balls against England in the first warm-up match. However, England went on to win the match by 43 runs (Duckworth Lewis method).

Joe Root and Eoin Morgan were able to score 90 and 91 runs respectively to take England over the line.
Meanwhile, the first One Day International match between Sri Lanka and England will take place at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on 10 October. Sri Lanka was knocked out in the group stages of the Asia Cup recently and will have their work cut out against the number one ODI side, England.

The hosts are not in the best of forms and will have to play out of their skin to challenge the England juggernauts. Furthermore, Dinesh Chandimal will hold the captaincy reins. Angelo Mathews was asked to step down from the leadership role. Surprisingly, Mathews could not even find a place in the Sri Lankan squad.
Meanwhile, Kamindu Mendis also could not make the cut into the Sri Lanka side.
