Watch: Amused Virat Kohli Claps Animatedly As Tabraiz Shamsi Drops Rohit Sharma On 96

Just a few overs ago, Virat Kohli was fuming after a misunderstanding with Rohit Sharma led to his run-out in the ongoing fifth ODI against South Africa. The India skipper was absolutely furious after the run-out and was seen throwing his kits in the dressing room.

However, the despair soon turned into the happiness after Rohit was given a reprieve when he was batting on 96. The India opener was just 4 runs short of a well-deserved century when he pulled a short delivery from Kagiso Rabada. However, he could not make a good contact and the ball failed to cover the required distance. Rohit’s knock was looking set to come to a disappointing end. However, just when everyone thought that Rohit would miss his century, Tabraiz Shamsi spilled a sitter near the boundary rope.

And as soon as the ball landed on the field, the whole Indian dressing room stood up and applauded in amusement. The celebrations were led by none other than the skipper himself as he clapped animatedly.

Here is a clip of that incident:

Meanwhile, Rohit made full use of the life and went on to compile a much-needed century. The knock will definitely ease the pressure off Rohit after his awful performance in the previous games on the ongoing tour.
