Watch: Ashok Dinda Gets Hit on the Head, Taken to Hospital

India’s and Bengal fast bowler Ashok Dinda was careened to hospital after the pacer was hit on the head by the ball. Dinda, who was practicing was hit on the head by his teammate batsman Vivek Singh. Both the players were practicing under the watchful eyes of India’s legendary batsman VVS Laxman.

Vivek Singh had taken the screws out of the ball and smashed it straight towards Dinda. However, the right-handed bowler could not evade the ball or could not get his hands behind the ball. In fact, Dinda was able to get fingers to the balls before getting hit. However, the blow was still nasty as the ball was traveling at great speed.

Dinda suffered a nasty blow.

Hence, he was hit on his head and was seen in pain. Subsequently, Dinda was crowded by his teammates as well as the team’s think tank as they came rushing towards the bowler to check on him.

Furthermore, Dinda was able to get back on his feet and even went on to bowl a couple of deliveries. However, he felt some discomfort and informed the same to team management. Consequently, Ashok Dinda was rushed to the hospital. However, he was seen unattended when he was getting into the car to go to the hospital.

According to Bengali news outlet Ebela, the pacer was walking unaided when he headed towards the car to go to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Ashok Dinda was gearing up for the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Trophy with his team. The Bengal pacer had a good recently concluded Ranji Trophy where he bagged 28 wickets in eight matches.

On the other hand, Ashok Dinda last played in the Indian colors in 2013. He made his debut in 2009 but failed to impress at the topmost level. The Bengal pacer took combined 29 wickets in 13 ODIs and nine T20Is for the national side.
