One of the funny and rare sights took place during the Test match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Trent Boult, who tried to play a scoop shot of a spinner, was successful only to find a leading edge. The ball flew into his helmet and gets stuck in there for a while.

Meanwhile, the fielders and the batsman Trent Boult tried to make fun of it, as the batsman tried to storm away when the close-in fielders and the wicket-keeper were trying to grab the ball. In between, Commentators also had some fun on the air as well.

Despite that, Trent Boult played a decent knock for the team by hitting 18 runs in the end overs. The knocked involved one four and a six, which saw them posting 249 runs on the board after losing 8 wickets for 222 runs.

Earlier, it was New Zealand, who won the toss, opted to bat first. Both the openers Tom Latham and Jeet Ravel played well to add 64 runs partnership for the first wicket. However, Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls added 100-run partnership for the 4th wicket, which pulled things back in visitors favour. Just when things looked like drifting away, Sri Lankan bowlers made a strong comeback by rattling the rest of the lineup for 60-odd runs.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost Lahiru Thirimanne for a cheap score. The skipper Dimuth and Kusal Mendis tried to repair the ship but skipper failed to convert the start. However, Angelo Mathews scored a decent fifty to make things look good for Sri Lanka. But, soon after fifty, he was sent back. Despite that Sri Lanka in a decent position, as Niroshan Dickwell and Suranga Lakmal showed their class in the middle.
