One of the funny and rare sights took place during the Test match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Trent Boult, who tried to play a scoop shot of a spinner, was successful only to find a leading edge. The ball flew into his helmet and gets stuck in there for a while.

However, Ross Taylor and Henry Nicholls added 100-run partnership for the 4th wicket, which pulled things back in visitors favour. Just when things looked like drifting away, Sri Lankan bowlers made a strong comeback by rattling the rest of the lineup for 60-odd runs.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost Lahiru Thirimanne for a cheap score. The skipper Dimuth and Kusal Mendis tried to repair the ship but skipper failed to convert the start. However, Angelo Mathews scored a decent fifty to make things look good for Sri Lanka. But, soon after fifty, he was sent back. Despite that Sri Lanka in a decent position, as Niroshan Dickwell and Suranga Lakmal showed their class in the middle.
