You can be a hero one day whereas you can be the villain on the other. The days can change quickly. It was not long ago when Cheteshwar Pujara was hailed as the hero of the nation. India’s number three batsman had deserved his accolades as he had scored 521 runs in the four-match series against Australia. Pujara faced 1258 balls and did everything right on the tour Down Under.

However, Cheteshwar Pujara got a pleasant Birthday gift on his 31st birthday. The standing umpire adjudged Pujara as not out when the right-hander had got a big outside edge. The Karnataka teammates were left flabbergasted and their captain Manish Pandey was left fuming while standing just next to Pujara.

Subsequently, when Cheteshwar Pujara came out to bat in the second innings of the ongoing semifinal contest against Karnataka, he got a welcome he wouldn’t have thought of. The Bangalore crowded shouted “Cheater” when Pujara was making his way to the middle.

Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara is currently batting on 34 runs and he is going to hold the key for Saurashtra. The visitors are chasing 279 runs and have lost three wickets.

On the other hand, Cheteshwar Pujara was the difference between Australia and India. Pujara batted at the top of his game to deliver the goods for the India National Cricket Team.

Pujara scored three hundred in the four-match series and scored his runs at an average of 74. The right-hander scored a brilliant 123 when India had their backs against the wall in the first Test match at Adelaide. Furthermore, he scored 71 in the second innings.

Meanwhile, Pujara will like to get Saurashtra in close proximity of the target. On the other hand, Vidarbha has already sealed their final berth in the ongoing Ranji Trophy after Umesh Yadav scalped 12 wickets.
