“Well that doesn’t look like a very friendly conversation, does it?” – This is what West Indies legend Michael Holding said in commentary when England stars Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad were involved in an ugly spat on day three of the ongoing first Test against South Africa in Centurion. With things not going England’s way on the field, the two teammates could not help but have a go at each other.
Both the players looked frustrated and exchanged words in what appeared to be a heated disagreement in a team huddle after a South African wicket fell. It looked like Ben Stokes was the one who started the exchange before Stuart Broad retaliated. Skipper Joe Root was telling something to his teammates before Ben Stokes made a comment in an animated manner.

He was then walking away from the huddle before turning back and giving a piece of his mind to Stuart Broad. The veteran pacer then hit it back at Ben Stokes before the latter walked away from the huddle in an angry manner.
“Well that doesn’t look like a very friendly conversation, does it?” said Michael Holding said in commentary. “I’m not sure what started it, but hopefully it will end soon.”
On the other hand, former England captain Nasser Hussain said: “England’s hot in the weather and not feeling well. I’m pleased that a few words were exchanged to be honest. (They’ve) got a problem with each other, Broad has said something in the huddle that Stokes is not amused with and England’s vice-captain picks him up on it. I don’t mind that at all.”

England, meanwhile, have made a stunning fightback in their second innings to leave the Test match finely poised. After being bowled out for just 181 in their first innings, England ended day three on a commanding 121 for 1, needing 255 more runs to complete a comeback win. South Africa is still the favorite after setting England 376 to win but England can leave them stunned.
