Watch: Bizarre As Stuart Broad Is Cleaned Up By Yorker While He Was Expecting Short Ball From Kagiso Rabada

While Stuart Broad is predominantly a pace bowler, there is absolutely no denying the fact that the England veteran is also a handy batsman. The left-handed batsman has scored 12 Test fifties and one Test century to his name. But at the end of the day, he is recognised as a tail-ender and he totally justified that tag on Friday.
The England star was castled by South Africa pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada in a bizarre manner on day one of the ongoing second Test in Cape Town. Stuart Broad had scored just one run off two balls when Kagiso Rabada sent him back with a deadly yorker.

Stuart Broad, however, could have avoided that dismissal had he correctly judged the line and length of the delivery. Even before Kagiso Rabada released the ball, Stuart Broad was ready for a short ball and was thus taken aback when the Proteas star fired in a perfect yorker.
The southpaw also jumped a little perhaps to deal with the bounce while expecting a short ball before the yorker shattered his stumps.

England, meanwhile, finished day one on a precarious 262 for 9. On a pitch that appeared perfect for batting, England suffered a big collapse to squander the chance of scoring big. After Zak Crawley departed for just 4, the likes of Dominic Sibley (34), Joe Denly (38), Joe Root (35), Ben Stokes (47) got the starts but failed to convert them.
At 185 for 4, the visitors looked set to post a decent total before suffering an inexplicable collapse that saw them lose 5 wickets for just 49 runs. It could have been worse for England but a half-century from Ollie Pope (56 not out), supported by Jimmy Anderson (3 not out), helped them add 28 for the final wicket with the potential of a few more to come on day two.
