Video: Chris Gayle Plays the Role of a Part-Time Wicket-Keeper: The Kings XI Punjab has been quite brilliant in Vivo IPL 11 so far. Courtesy some exceptional bowling by Ankit Rajpoot, Punjab managed to restrict Hyderabad to a score of 134 in their allotted 20 overs.
Rajpoot began with the wicket of inform batsman Kane Willamson in the 4th delivery. It was a much-needed wicket given the that Williamson has been the man in form all through the tournament. The wicket of Shikhar Dhawan came in the very next over. It was a brilliant delivery from Rajpoot which squared up Dhawan. Karun Nair in the slips completed an excellent diving catch.
He also added the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha in no time as Hyderabad were in a spot of bother. It was a sensational three overs spell. Hyderabad made a comeback of sorts from there on. Manish Pandey and Shakib Al Hasan shared a 52 runs partnership. However, it didn’t come in quick time. Pandey was troubled early on in his innings. However, he started gaining in confidence and took Hyderabad over the 100 mark.
Rajpoot bagged a five-wicket haul after dismissing Manish and Mohammed Nabi. After his four overs spell, his figures read an astounding 5/14. It was undoubtedly his spell which prevented Hyderabad from scoring any more than 132 in their allotted 20 overs.
