Despite their ODI series against India called off due to the coronavirus pandemics, the spirit in the South Africa camp was high and the latest post on Instagram by Cricket South Africa (CSA) pretty much proved it. The first ODI between the two sides in Dharamsala was washed off without a ball being bowled.

The next two games were scheduled to take place in Lucknow and Kolkata on March 15 and March 18 respectively. Both the teams had landed in Lucknow for the second game of the series before the BCCI decided to call off the series due to understandable reasons. Both BCCI and CSA later announced that the series will be rescheduled.

And while there was no cricket going on, the South Africa players decided to keep themselves fit while staying at a hotel in India. According to the video posted by CSA on Instagram, the squad was divided into two teams for a running challenge. The likes of Lungi Ngidi, Andile Phehlukwayo, Rassie van der Dussen were in one team while Faf du Plessis and some of the players were in the other team. It was tough to find out the players who were in the second team.

Faf du Plessis’ hilarious gesture:

While the players were involved in the running challenge, former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis came up with a hilarious gesture. Towards the end of the video, one can see Faf du Plessis exposing his bum as he perhaps wanted to mock the other team.

Both the teams came across each other and while the team consisting the likes of Ngidi, van der Dussen were celebrating, the other team decided not to react before Faf du Plessis hilariously exposed himself.

Here is that video posted by CSA on Instagram:

Meanwhile, the South African cricket team has been asked to self-quarantine for the next 14 days after returning home from India. Cricket South Africa’s chief medical officer, Dr Shuaib Manjra, was quoted as saying that the players have been told to isolate themselves and will be tested for the deadly virus in case any symptoms show up.

“We have recommended the players social distance themselves from others and self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days. I think that is proper guidance to protect themselves, people around them, their families and their communities,” he told the media.
