Fans outside the Sharjah Cricket Stadium have been having a ball in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League.

With the pitch being flat and the dimensions of the ground small, a plethora of sixes have landed on the road, adjacent to the stadium, giving an opportunity to the pedestrian to pocket the ball away.

Another such instance took place in the ongoing Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Capitals fixture when all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja smashed fast bowler Tushar Deshpande for a monstrous six over backward square-leg.

It was a length ball by Deshpande, and all Jadeja did was nonchalantly flick it towards the on-side. The ball landed on the road, post which a happy pedestrian pocketed the ball away.

It was the first of four sixes that Jadeja stroked during his brilliant onslaught on DC fast bowlers at the backend.

Ravindra Jadeja’s 13-ball 33 and Ambati Rayudu’s 25-ball 45 lead CSK to 4-179

Earlier, CSK batted first and once again they got off to a sedate start following the dismissal of Sam Curran in the 1st over.

Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson managed just 56 runs in the first nine overs before they finally decided to tee off. The duo smoked 29 runs in the next 2 overs before Anrich Nortje finally broke the 87-run-stand.

MS Dhoni and Faf du Plessis followed suit but Ravindra Jadeja (33* off 13 balls) and Ambati Rayudu’s (45* off 25 balls) assault in the last five overs ensured that CSK smashed 67 runs in the last 30 balls to eventually post 4-179 in 20 overs.
