Watch: Fuming Virat Kohli Expresses his Frustration after Being Run-Out

Virat Kohli was looking set for another big knock in the ongoing fifth ODI against South Africa. The 29-year old had looked almost unstoppable in the first four ODIs.
He began the series with a stunning 112-run knock. An unbeaten knock of 46 followed it. The India batting mainstay then played a monumental knock of 160 not out in the third ODI. In the following game, he scored 75. However, the hopes of seeing the India skipper deliver another good knock came to an unexpected end courtesy of a phenomenon that is not new to Indian fans.
The right-handed batsman’s stay on the crease was cut short after a misunderstanding with Rohit Sharma led to his run out. It happened after Rohit softly played the ball towards and looked to take off. Seeing Rohit’s intentions, Kohli took off.
However, Rohit changed his mind and decided against taking the run. By the time, Rohit made himself clear, Kohli was already halfway down the pitch. In the meantime, JP Duminy picked up the ball and shattered the stumps with an underarm throw.
As expected, Kohli did not take the run-out on his chin and did not refrain from letting his emotions out. He was seen throwing his pad away in the dressing room, as he made his displeasure clear.
Here is a clip of that incident:
