Overwhelmed by yet another heartwarming gesture by his ex-India teammate Gautam Gambhir, veteran India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh took to Twitter to laud the left-handed batsman for his deeds.

Earlier in the day, Gambhir, who is running his own charity called Gautam Gambhir foundation, tweeted a video where he could be seen feeding the hungry as a part of his initiative launched in August earlier this year. The left-hander took to Twitter to post a video with a message that read, “आँखे नम है के इन नन्हें हाथों ने अब तक अपनी तक़दीर ही कोसी है। कोशिश कर रहा हूँ के मैंने थाली में खाना नहीं उम्मीद परोसी है। #ChildrenInNeed.”

Gambhir has made a name for himself with his noble deeds. Earlier this year, he had pledged to bear the full expenses of the children of 25 CRPF personnel killed by Maoists in Chhattisgarh. He had also opened a community kitchen in Delhi through the Gautam Gambhir Foundation.

His latest gesture, nonetheless, left Harbhajan mighty impressed as the latter took to Twitter to salute him for feeding the hungry.

“Gauti love u man ❤️ rab tenu Bhut khush rakhe.. thank you for doing this???,” he wrote on Twitter.

Playing career:

Meanwhile, Gambhir’s international career is pretty much off the track at the moment. He was recalled to the Test team last year but failure to make the limited-chances count soon saw him getting dropped and he is still waiting for a recall from the national selectors. So far, Gambhir has represented India in 58 Tests and 147 ODIs, scoring over 9000 runs with the help of 20 centuries and 56 half-centuries. He has also played 37 T20Is and has scored 932 runs including 7 fifties.
