England pace spearhead James Anderson took a nasty hit on his face while playing a round of golf with his England teammate Stuart Broad.
Fresh off the thrilling win in the first Test against India at Edgbaston, James Anderson decided to celebrate the occasion by playing some golf.
The right-arm pacer must have thought of having a good time on the golf course and would have been hoping for an enjoyable round in the sun with Stuart Broad. However, the day ended on a disastrous note for James Anderson.
The world number one Test bowler ended up hitting himself with the ball while attempting a shot. The golf ball appeared to hit a tree stump before smashing him powerfully in the face from close range after he took a big shot.
And Broad did not waste much time in posting the clip on Twitter. Broad captioned it, confirming his team-mate was alright, before including a series of ‘crying laughter’ emojis.
Here is the clip of the painful blow received by Anderson:

Meanwhile, England are 1-0 up in the five-match Test series against India. The hosts beat India by 31 runs in a low-scoring thriller at Edgbaston. Chasing 194, India were all out for just 162.
Both Anderson and Broad played key roles in the thrilling match. James Anderson took two wickets in the first innings and as many in the second.
On the other hand, Stuart Broad set the tone for England in the second innings by dismissing India openers Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan cheaply.
