Jasprit Bumrah once again proved to be the clutch player for Team India as the champion pacer finally ‘uprooted’ the immovable force that is the England captain, Joe Root.

He poked at it and skipper Virat Kohli did the rest by safely pouching it at first slip.

The significance of Root’s dismissal was perfectly summed up by Virat’s reactions as the ever-enthusiastic Indian skipper let out a guttural roar before doing a celebratory stint.

Root’s wicket came at the worst possible time for England and it’s up to the likes of Jos Buttler, Moeen Ali and Sam Curran to bat out the remaining 34 overs against a ruthless Indian attack
