Jasprit Bumrah has firmly earned the bragging rights of the duel between him and Andre Russell after winning the latest round of contest in the ongoing match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians in Abu Dhabi.
The Jasprit Bumrah-Russell contest was the talking point before the start of the game but it failed to live up to the expectations once again. The Mumbai Indians pace spearhead had dismissed the KKR allrounder earlier too when both the teams had locked horns against each other.

And when Russell came out to bat in the ongoing game, Rohit Sharma did not waste much time in re-introducing his trump card in the attack. And it took Jasprit Bumrah just four deliveries to justify the faith shown in him by his captain. The over had started on a fine note for the allrounder as he dispatched the right-arm pacer for a four.
But just two balls later, Jasprit Bumrah had his revenge with a stunning short delivery. Even before the ball was bowled, Russell backed away in order to make a room for himself. But Jasprit Bumrah had already sensed that move and came up with a devastating short ball to leave Russell clueless.
The short ball was well directed at the allrounder who tried to get himself out of the line of the ball but could not take his bat away. In the meantime, the ball hit his bat before ballooning behind the stumps where Quinton de Kock took an easy catch. Russell was out after scoring 12 off 9 balls, leaving KKR reeling at 61 for 5.
Here is the clip of the dismissal:
