The Big Bash League had brought a lot of excitement on the table this time. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer has produced his share of incredible stuff recently. In the match number 44 of the BBL 2018-19 between Hobart Hurricanes and Brisbane Heat, Archer took a splendid catch at the boundary ropes to dismiss Max Bryant. Though at once it appeared the ball might cross over him, but it didn’t. Courtesy his effort, Hobart could build the pressure from thereon.

‘Incredible’ Jofra saves six runs

The hosts decided to bowl first after winning the toss. Brendon McCullum and Max Bryant looked to hit top gear initially. Also, captain Mathew Wade had the field set for the onslaught. James Faulkner, who bowled the second over gave a dolly to Max, who timed it to perfection. The shot was so smooth that it appeared to clear off the fence.

However, Jofra Archer had other plans. He ran through his right to first, not allow the ball to go for a six, and secondly, to produce a splendid catch. Though it looked utterly easy on the camera, he covered good ground to take that catch. That was just a beginning; the hosts further lost three wickets inside the Powerplay and were staring down the barrel.

Meanwhile, a 109-run stand between gloveman Jimmy Peirson and Alex Ross saw Brisbane Heat scoring 145 for six in 20 overs. Archer, in his four overs, conceded 28 runs and took two wickets.

D’Arcy Short continues his golden run

Hobart Hurricanes opener and the man of the hour, D’Arcy Short has been in some incredible form. Having scored around 500 runs before this game in ten matches, the left-handed batsman hit another fifty to his name. Though the hosts lost their captain, Wade early; the pair of Short and Jewell completed the formalities with nine wickets in hand. As Short scored 68 off 41, Jewell hit an unbeaten 61 off 38.
