England batsman Jos Buttler, who helped England take an unassailable 2-1 lead in the fourth ODI, gave Sheldon Cottrell a salute after walloping him for a massive six at Grenada.

Meanwhile, Buttler was in superlative form yesterday smashing 13 fours and 12 sixes bringing his 150 off just 77 balls. He made his highest ODI score, and the second-fastest 150 of all time in ODIs. He accelerated superbly, moving from 50 to 150 in just 31 balls. His 12 sixes was a record for an English batter in an ODI knock. Jos Buttler combined with Eoin Morgan to add 204 runs as the visitor’s posted the third-highest total on the scoreboard.

However, it was Jonny Bairstow and Ales Hales to provided a blistering start. The pair added a century stand inside 14 overs to set the tone. After the departure of the openers and Joe Root, Jos Buttler picked up in top gear to tear apart the Windies bowling. He smacked 154 runs in the final ten overs as England posted 418 runs on the board at the halfway mark.

However, the most entertaining moment of the match came when Buttler sent a ball from Sheldon Cottrell over the ropes and responded with the bowler’s trademark salute.

Watch the video here:

Chris Gayle, who is in good form started the chase on a high right from the word go. Mark Wood – gone for runs in his first over, bounced back to dismiss John Campbell and Shai Hope. Alongside Darren Bravo, Gayle continued his onslaught, and by the start of the 23rd over, they were at 220 for two, needing less than seven and a half runs per over to win. Meanwhile, Morgan once again brought Wood hoping for a breakthrough, and he did deliver goods once again. He dismissed Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer in a span of three balls to bring England right back in the game.

The Jamaican opener and his skipper Jason Holder added a few runs before departing. Meanwhile, when it looked all over the home side, Carlos Brathwaite and Ashley Nurse added 88 runs to bring back Windies in the game. But, Adil Rashid bagged four wickets from five deliveries to put the final nail in the coffin.
