Seeing Mahendra Singh Dhoni losing his cool is one of the rarest things to witness on a cricket field. The former India skipper has made a name for himself for his cool and calm demeanour. In fact, the 37-year old is so good in hiding his emotions that he has earned the nickname of Captain Cool.

Well, it seems even the coolest character on the field loses his cool sometimes. In a recent interview, young spinner Kuldeep Yadav revealed how Dhoni once got angry when he tried to adjust the field against the wicketkeeper’s suggestions. Speaking on ‘What the Duck’ the chinaman revealed that Dhoni yelled at him after he did not bother listening to his inputs. In fact, Dhoni had gone on to tell Yadav if he was mad to have played 300 matches.

The incident had taken place during a T20I game in Indore between India and Sri Lanka. Batting first, India had scored a massive 260 on the small ground. In reply, the visitors also came out all guns blazing. With the dimensions of the ground small, the Sri Lankan batsmen had taken Kuldeep to the cleaners.

The spinner said that every time he would go for a boundary, he would look up to Mahi bhai (Dhoni) and seek advise. In reply, Dhoni asked him to bowl away from the batsmen. At one point in the match, Dhoni walked up to Kuldeep and asked him to make changes in the field. Dhoni suggested Kuldeep that he should get rid of the fielder at covers and bring the point fielder up.

Kuldeep, who was in hurry to bowl his next delivery, said he was okay with the field. It was then that Dhoni got angry  and shouted:

“Kya mai pagal hu yaha pe mai 300 ODI khela hu (Am I mad here, I have played 300 ODI games).”

Kuldeep adjusted the field and soon reaped the reward in the form of a wicket. Soon Dhoni walked up to him and said, “That’s what I was talking about.”
