The latest player to take the blow on his box is England’s skipper Joe Root, who got hit on his box by Mitchell Starc’s express delivery.

The particular delivery clocked 140 KMPH in the speedometer. However, the skipper, whose heart skipped for a moment after the hit, went back to normal to continue his game. It was an inswinger from Mitchell Starc, which got a bit of extra bounce from the surface. Certainly, it was too hot to handle for Root, who missed it only to get hit on a place, where none of the cricketers would ever pleased to take.

Coming to the progress of the game, both the teams shared honours on Day 3 of the Test match. After losing the nightwatchman Craig Overton, Joe Root and Rory Burns played brilliantly for England.
