Well, we came across many incidents when players get hit on awkward places thus becoming the fun element on the field for the spectators. Thankfully, the safety gear always ensured them be in a safe place. The latest player to take the blow on his box is England’s skipper Joe Root, who got hit on his box by Mitchell Starc’s express delivery.

The particular delivery clocked 140 KMPH in the speedometer. However, the skipper, whose heart skipped for a moment after the hit, went back to normal to continue his game. It was an inswinger from Mitchell Starc, which got a bit of extra bounce from the surface. Certainly, it was too hot to handle for Root, who missed it only to get hit on a place, where none of the cricketers would ever pleased to take.

Coming to the progress of the game, both the teams shared honours on Day 3 of the Test match. After losing the nightwatchman Craig Overton, Joe Root and Rory Burns played brilliantly for England. Both the batsmen went against Australian bowlers and kept their fielders chasing the ball more often than not.

After adding 141-run partnership for the second wicket, Rory Burns lacked a bit of concentration, who edged Josh Hazlewood to Steve Smith in the slip cordon. He was quickly followed by Joe Root, who made 71 to his name. Root’s wicket was 3rd for Hazlewood, who continued to deliver for Australia.

Once again, Jason Roy got the opportunity to stand for his side and deliver cracking innings to extend his survival in Test cricket. However, Josh was too good for Jason Roy, who found a gap between his pad and bat to take the middle stump out from the picture.

Later, Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow played well to ensure no further hiccups at the closing time of Day 3. At the end of the stumps, Ben Stokes was on 7* while Jonny Bairstow scored 2*.
