That Afghanistan star Mohammad Shahzad is a huge fan of MS Dhoni is not a secret any more. The wicketkeeper-batsman has always reiterated his love for his India counterpart and tries to replicate him at any possible opportunity on the field. Well, he managed to replicate Dhoni again on Wednesday (January 30) during the Bangladesh Premier League clash between Chittagong Vikings and Dhaka Dynamites.

Shahzad tried to pull of Dhoni’s special no-look run-out and it would be safe to say that he nailed it. Shahzad got rid of Dynamite’s opener Mizanur Rahman with the Dhoni special.  In the 4th over of the Dhaka Dynamites innings, Rahman came down the track while facing spinner Nayeem Hasan. He tried to whip the ball towards the leg side but failed to do so and ended up getting beaten.

The ball took an edge off his pads and was lying in between the stumps and him before Shahzad quickly collected it and flicked it on to the stumps, thus perfectly replicating Dhoni. To make the whole move even more impressive, he did even look at the stumps but managed to shatter them.

Here is a clip showing Mohammad Shahzad pulling off a MS Dhoni:

Coming to the game, Chittagong Vikings won the game against Dhaka Dynamites by 11 runs. Batting first, the Vikings posted a competitive total of 174 for 5 in the allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Shahzad (21) and Cameron Delport (71) gave th Vikings a solid start. Towards the end, skipper Mushfiqur Rahim slammed 43 off 24 balls to guide the side to a big total.

In reply, the Dynamites could only manage 163 for 9 in their stipulated 20 overs. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan (53) and Andre Russell (39), who had taken a hat-trick in the game, tried to keep Dynamites in the game but lack of support from other end saw Vikings winning the game comfortably in the end.
