It is just impossible to keep MS Dhoni out of any game and the fans would have realised it in the ongoing third One-Day International against New Zealand at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium.  Not only that, it is also very rare to see the former India skipper showing emotions on a cricket field but the fans witnessed that scene too in the ongoing game.

Chasing a massive 338, New Zealand replied strongly and were looking well set to chase down the total. With 30 runs needed off the last 3 overs and the in-form Tom Latham still on the crease, New Zealand were very much on top. However, a misunderstanding ended Latham’s fine show as he was run-out for 65 with MS Dhoni playing a key role in it.

Colin de Grandhomme failed to make any contact with a Jasprit Bumrah yorker which went behind the stumps. Seeing that, Latham tried to steal a single but de Grandhomme did not oblige and in the meantime, Dhoni kept his cool, tossing it back to Bumrah who shattered the stumps.

Here is the video showing Dhoni getting all excited after the wicket:

An avid cricket lover, I just love this game more than anything. Writing about cricket keeps me closer to the game.
