ToggleLeaving the crease and then missing the ball when MS Dhoni is standing behind the stumps is one of the biggest mistakes that a player can do on the cricket field and Prithvi Shaw learned it the hard way on Friday. The young opener was stumped by the veteran wicketkeeper during the clash between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dubai.

Prior to his dismissal, the right-handed batsman was looking in good touch. He was playing the aggressive shots right from the start and was batting on 64 before being dismissed by Piyush Chawla. He started the proceedings by hitting Deepak Chahar for two fours in the very first over. On the other hand, his partner Shikhar Dhawan looked more than happy to play the role of the second fiddle.

The Delhi Capitals opener reached his fifty off 35 balls in the tenth over off bowled Ravindra Jadeja. He hit the India spinner for a six and a four before being sent back by Piyush Chawla in the 13th over.
In an attempt to accelerate the run-rate, Shaw decided to dance down the track off Chawla’s bowling. However, the veteran spinner outfoxed the youngster and before the latter could get inside his crease, MS Dhoni did the rest. The former India skipper, who is known for his lightning fast stumping, had ample time in his hands to get the bails off and he made no mistake.
