As the new season of Indian Premier League (IPL) looms ahead, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni got into the groove as he joined his team on Thursday. Meanwhile, CSK started their preparations from yesterday for the cash-rich league.
Meanwhile, Dhoni has led CSK in all the eight seasons the franchise participated in. The team returns to the league after a gap of two years and the players, as well as the fans, are equally excited.
However, CSK has built a strong team with retaining their former players in the form of Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja. Senior pro’s like Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay, Shane Watson, and Dwayne Bravo will add strength to the squad.

In a series of videos posted by Chennai Super Kings official Twitter handle, Dhoni smacked the ball out of the park. He looked in good touch and will be key to CSK’s success in the prestigious tournament.

Chennai along with Rajasthan Royals missed out on the last two seasons of the IPL after Supreme Court banned the two franchises. Dhoni then represented Rising Pune Supergiant in the last two editions and played a significant role.
Meanwhile, Dhoni opted for a break in the recently concluded Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. Further, he had an average series during India’s tour to South Africa.
The 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) begins on 7th April. The defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium.
