Watch: MS Dhoni Sets The Field Before Stumping Glenn Maxwell

There is a joke circulating across social media that Team India plays with two captains in limited-overs cricket and well one cannot take it as a complete joke. Virat Kohli took the captaincy from MS Dhoni earlier this year but so far not much of a change has been witnessed in Dhoni’s role on the field. Starting from the field placements to DRS calls, Dhoni has been seen in thick of actions throughout after relinquishing captaincy and a latest incident that happened in the ongoing game against Australia at Indore shows that Dhoni is perhaps the main-man on the field.
The incident occurred when Yuzvendra Chahal came to bowl the 43rd over. MS Dhoni was seen placing the fielders which was enough to show that Dhoni still has a big say on the field despite not being the captain.
Meanwhile, his field placement was perhaps done to confuse Glenn Maxwell and it paid off immediately as the right-handed batsman was stumped out on the very next delivery. Chahal bowled outside the off-stump and Maxwell danced down the track for a big hit. However, he completely failed to make any contact. The ball went past the bat and Dhoni did what he does best behind the stumps.
Here is a clip showing the incident:
