Mushfiqur Avoids A Bizarre Dismissal
There was a particular instance where Rahim almost played on a delivery to the stumps. But all thanks to his presence of mind, Rahim blocked the ball and avoided a freaking dismissal. The ball kicked up but Rahim put his back to the red cherry and ensured safe play.
Bangladesh declared on a massive 560/6 and picked a couple of wickets at the fag end of the day’s play. Apart from Rahim, skipper Mominul Haque hit a vital ton. Haque made 132 with the help of 14 boundaries.

Mushfiqur Rahim puts out a solid statement
Rahim, on the other hand, tonked 28 fours and stayed at the crease for over seven hours. Post the day’s play, the cricketer said the wicket wasn’t a tough one to bat on. “This double-hundred was on the easiest wicket. They didn’t have much threat in their bowling attack. There was no reverse swing or any outrageous spin by a mystery bowler. I think this was an easier innings compared to the other two.

“This time we got a good wicket, so we wanted to make the most of it. In future it may be a different wicket depending on the opposition, but as a batsman I prefer this type of wicket.”
However, Rahim was a tad upset with the timing of the declaration He said he could have hit a 300 if provided with one session on the fourth day’s play. Furthermore, he said the bowling pack are capable of getting the opposition dismissed inside two days.
