Neil Wagner’s reaction said it all after Ravindra Jadeja took his catch to send him back in the ongoing second Test between India and New Zealand in Christchurch. Wagner and Kyle Jamieson were making life difficult for Indian bowlers with a fighting stand for the ninth wicket.

New Zealand were reeling at 177 for 8 when both the players joined hands. They frustrated the Indian bowlers and crossed the 50-run mark during the stand before Ravindra Jadeja came up with a moment of magic to end the promising stand which pretty much wiped off the lead for India.

Wagner must have thought his shot would sail over the boundary when he pulled a Mohammed Shami bouncer and connected really well. However, Ravindra Jadeja had some other plans. The allrounder came charging in from square leg, jumped his time to perfection and caught the ball with one hand to leave everyone stunned.

Here is a clip of that catch:

Meanwhile, India bowled out New Zealand for 235 to take a seven run lead after scoring 242 in the first innings. New Zealand started the day on 63 for no loss before India’s bowlers turned the game on its head by taking five wickets in the first session.

The visitors took the five wickets for 79 runs to reduce New Zealand to 142 for 5 at the end of the first session and did not take long to take the remaining wickets. India trail the series 1-0 after losing the series opener by ten wickets. The Virat Kohli-led side has not lost a series since the one in England in 2018 and will be looking to continue that streak.
